SYFRACO PRESENTATION

SYFRACO, Syndicat Français des Fabricants de Coffres-forts, is a professional organization governed by the law of 1884. It was created in 1986 by 9 companies.

SYFRACO, Syndicat Français des Fabricants de Coffres-forts, groups together the leading manufacturers of safes, ATM safes, deposit safes, safe locks, vaults, strongboxes, fireproof cabinets, domestic safes, special safes, banknote neutralization systems (SNB), armored doors and security enclosures.

SYFRACO is a founder member of the European Federation of Safe Manufacturers (Eurosafe), of which it is Vice-Chairman.

To date, nine presidents have been successively elected to head the Syndicat.

OUR MISSIONS

SYFRACO’s role as a trade association, by bringing together all the players in the industry – prescribers, insurers, certifiers and public authorities – enables us to adopt a common position with French and European authorities.

The main missions are as follows:

  • Participate in the development of French and European standards and benchmarks.
  • Participation as experts in all CEN TC263, AFNOR working groups: WG1: Safes (Add illustrations)
    WG2: Fireproof safes / WG3: Safe locks / WG4: Banknote neutralization systems
  • React quickly to new risks (identification)
  • Exchange with national and international professionals on the evolution of criminal means and methods in order to anticipate new modes of attack.
  • Study and take into account new technologies to develop European standards
  • Centralize and disseminate attack statistics, restricted to union members
  • Share the correct interpretation and use of standards with certification laboratories.
  • Participation in the quarterly A2p Cert committee,
  • Reminder of the basic principles of use and installation of our products (vigilance regarding keys left in safes, etc.).
  • Promote good marketing, installation, adaptation, modification and maintenance practices
  • Clarifying the scope of standards
