Adapting to new technological threats: SYFRACO’s major challenge in 2024

5/03/24 | SYFRACO news

In 2024, SYFRACO is focusing on the integration of new security technologies to meet modern criminal threats. The increase in sophisticated attacks, both physical and digital, means that European security standards, such as EN 1143-1, need to be updated to reinforce the resistance of safes and vending machines.

Anticipating future risks

With the advent of digital tools such as artificial intelligence and hacking, criminal methods are rapidly evolving. Safe manufacturers must now integrate more advanced technologies such as biometric locks, connected alert systems and banknote neutralization devices (SNB). These innovations make it possible to respond to new forms of threat, while ensuring optimum protection of assets.

Collaboration and revision of standards

SYFRACO works closely with leading European standards bodies and security experts to revise security standards in line with new technologies. By participating in working groups, the union helps to adapt standards such as EN 1143-1 to take account of new forms of intrusion, including electronic attacks and sophisticated intrusion tools.

Towards global safety

The challenge for SYFRACO in 2024 is to guarantee global security by combining physical and digital protection. Updating standards not only meets insurers’ requirements, but also boosts user confidence. Through certified and regularly tested products, SYFRACO helps to secure goods and data in a context of ever-changing risks.
